Saving Shibas Inc. is a 501(c)3 rescue group, consisting of volunteers and specializing in Shiba Inus. Our dogs are rescued from shelters, neglect, abandonment and homes in distress.
Our volunteers are familiar with this breed; many of us are servants to our own Shibas. Our volunteers do not receive any compensation, and most have full-time jobs and assist with Shiba rescue on the weekends.
We don't have a facility and we rescue out of our homes so please contact us if you’d like to meet any of our foster Shibas and we can arrange a meeting.
GOAL
We ensure that each dog who is rescued is neutered/ spayed, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and evaluated. The dogs are lovingly placed in our volunteers' care, where they are nurtured in a home environment, integrated with families and other pets (as applicable). The dog’s health, temperament, behaviors are all evaluated and documented prior to adoption. Only after the dog is properly evaluated, and all medical needs are addressed will the dog be placed in the appropriately fitting home for everyone!
