About Us
The Animal Rescue League of Boston is an unwavering champion for animals in need, committed to keeping them safe and healthy in habitats and homes.
Founded in 1899, the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is dedicated to rescuing domesticated animals and wildlife from suffering, cruelty, abandonment, and neglect.
The ARL carries out this mission through our three shelters in Boston, Brewster, and Dedham, and our law enforcement, rescue, and veterinary services. In 2015, over 13,300 animals received care and assistance through all ARL programs and services.
The ARL receives no government or public funding to carry on this important work. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals like you to help animals in need. Thank you for your support!
