The Earth Element is related to the season of indian summer and linked to our "digestion" system in the spleen, pancreas, & stomach. Our earth traits nourish our soul and keep us grounded. The main emotion associated with this element is worry and the stress response is defensive

Light Shade: Engagement for the sake of the whole, loyal, teamwork

Shadow Shade: Can get overly protective and smother other elements

Earth elements tend to be great tracking dogs, always willing to please, very obedient, extremely sensitive, but can have low stamina. In fact, they can be prone to being overweight and there are days they prefer to be a couch potatoes. They may become submissive, tend to worry about others and easily get an upset tummy. When in balance they are good natured, relaxed, slow & steady, eager to please and typically built heavy. When out of balance can become overly attached and lazy. May be food possessive, gain weight easily and can smell yeasty.

Do you notice any Earth characteristics in your dog?
